We offer a range of options to support you if you would like to make long-term, sustainable changes to your use of alcohol and other drugs. Uniting Communities has been supporting people with issues related to drugs and alcohol since the 1930s. Currently, New ROADS supports more than 1000 people every year.

 

New ROADS services

New ROADS (Residential and Out-Client Alcohol and Drug Service) offers a range of services, including residential rehabilitation and counselling.

Treatment options are designed to assist with your physical and mental health, as well as your connections to the community through various activities. Our services can support families and individuals, including ex-servicepeople.

We run regular information sessions where you can find out more about these programs:

  • General sessions: 16 Pitt St, Adelaide OR 2b Morialta Drive, Smithfield
    • Monday 10.30am
  • Northern Connect program: 2b Morialta Drive, Smithfield
    • Thursday 1pm
  • New ROADS/Streetlink southern drop-in: 107 Dyson Rd, Christies Beach
    • Monday 9.30am-12.30pm
    • Wednesday 9.30am-12.30pm

In addition, our counsellors can support you with issues such as stable housing; legal matters; financial/debt problems; education, volunteering and employment; family issues and relationships; and connecting to other relevant services.

> Residential Program

This is a community-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in the metropolitan area for adults aged 21 and over.

Counselling is for people – and their families and/or support people – who are experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs. Services are available in the city, Smithfield and Christies Beach.

This community-based rehabilitation program is for families, single parent families with accompanying children, and/or women who are pregnant.

This 12-week program of intensive drug and alcohol treatment provides the structure of residential treatment, but for those who have their own accommodation.

The drop-in service provides a range of drug and alcohol treatment services from our office at Christies Beach, with information sessions held twice a week.

Streetlink Youth Health Service

This free and confidential youth health service provides a safe place if you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. If you are aged between 12 and 25, Streetlink can offer information and support, connection to services, or just a chat with someone who cares.
