  • great opportunities to develop new skills, knowledge and experience

  • connections with new people

  • the opportunity to support a cause you are passionate about

  • increased confidence and self-esteem.

Become part of our team

Our volunteers come from a diverse range of backgrounds, and bring with them a wide range of experiences and skill-sets. Our volunteers are valued not only by us, but by those they support.

As a volunteer, you can choose from a range of flexible options that are tailored to suit your skills, interests and availability.

Please note volunteers are required to provide a Criminal History Check.

Our volunteer recruitment process

As volunteer positions become available within Uniting Communities, we seek to find suitable applicants to fill each role. Ensuring that we match the right volunteer with the right role. All volunteers are required to provide a Criminal History Check and undergo other pre-engagement checks prior to official commencement.

Lifeline Adelaide Volunteers

Lifeline Adelaide is a service of Uniting Communities. One of the busiest centres in Australia, Lifeline Adelaide answers more than 34,000 calls and 12,000 online chats each year. It takes a team of more than 200 dedicated volunteers to ensure that we are available to support people in crisis 365 days a year.
