If you are newly identifying as same-sex attracted, and/or questioning your gender identity, Bfriend can offer support.
This unique service has operated in SA for more than 21 years, and matches people on a short-term basis with a trained peer volunteer. We run groups, and can provide you with information and referrals. We can also offer workshops and training for other service providers.
In addition, Bfriend can connect you to community events through the Adelaide LGBTIQ Events page. Here, you can find out what’s happening locally and access other resources.

Perhaps you’d like to speak about sexuality, gender or intersex status, or about relationships, current challenges or past experiences? Whatever you’d like to discuss, we provide respectful, non-judgemental and inclusive counselling.
Options are available if you would like an Auslan, or other language interpreter, or would prefer telephone counselling. Our building is wheelchair accessible and has gender neutral bathrooms.
This service is available Monday to Wednesday from 9am until 5pm.
We are always looking for LGBTIQA+ volunteer mentors – please contact us if you are interested.
