Overall, Uniting Communities is pleased with this Bill as it has included several enhances to the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 to improve the rights of tenants. This includes the removal of no grounds evictions and making it easier for tenants to have a pet.

Our submission includes recommendations for changes to proposed amendments but also includes provisions excluded from the current bill.

We have outlined amendments that we are supportive of and have made a number of recommendations in our additional comments.
