Streetlink Health Service

Streetlink is a health and wellbeing service for young people aged 10–25. We’re here to walk alongside you and your family with your health and medical needs, and to offer support and counselling around alcohol and other drugs, always in a safe, respectful and non-judgemental way.

Health support for young people

Streetlink offers free, confidential and safe health support for young people from all family and cultural backgrounds, and people of all sexualities and gender identities.

If you’re not sure where to start or what to say, we can figure it out together. And if reaching out feels hard, someone you trust - a family member, carer, your school or another service - can help you get in touch.

We’re here with information, advice, and links to services that might be useful, like mental health support, housing or youth programs.

If your use of alcohol or other drugs is causing stress or problems for you or someone in your family, we’re here to listen and help.

We offer assessment, counselling and support if you:

  • are worried about your current use

  • have stopped using but feel you might start again

  • feel your use is affecting your mental health

  • are pregnant and concerned about alcohol or drug use

  • want to link in with medical support to help reduce your use

  • want support around a family member’s alcohol or drug use.

Your privacy and safety

What you share with us stays private, unless we’re worried that you or someone else might not be safe or we’re required by law to share information. If that ever happens, we’ll talk it through with you and explain what needs to happen and why.

Supporting your health

You can also come to Streetlink for general health and wellbeing support, including:

  • general health checks

  • sexual health screening, treatment and advice

  • contraception (including emergency contraception)

  • mental health support

  • pregnancy support.

If there’s something going on in your life and you’re not sure where to go, you can start with us. We can talk things through and, if needed, help you connect with other organisations for support with things like housing, emergency help or legal advice. If we’re not the best fit for what you need, we’ll do our best to help you find someone who is.

Operating hours and appointments

  • Streetlink is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
