Support for men who want to do something about their use of anger or violence

If you are worried about your use of violence and anger at home, it is important to find support immediately.

Questions to ask yourself

Is anger, violence or abuse stopping you from being the person you want to be?

Do you dictate what your partner can or cannot do or isolate them from getting support?

Do you stop your partner from going places or contacting family and friends?

Do you want to stop hurting people you care about?

Taking that first step

Many men tell us that they have found it hard to change violent and abusive behaviour on their own.

It can be hard to ask for help. But this is the first step you can take to stop the cycle of violence and find ways to manage anger. Men who have used our service say that admitting they needed help was critical for making positive changes.

Counselling can help you find ways to develop safe, positive and respectful relationships. This is often known as ‘anger management’ or ‘domestic violence counselling’. Our counsellors are professionals with a range of qualifications. They receive ongoing professional development and training to ensure they provide high quality counselling.

We welcome people from all backgrounds, regardless of sexuality, gender identity, age or cultural background. We can provide interpreter and translation services if you need these.
