Residential Aged Care

Supported care in our Glenelg and Felixstow residences

Service overview

Safe, comfortable and supported living in a welcoming community

When living at home becomes more challenging, our aged care residences in Glenelg and Felixstow can offer higher level support. Murray Mudge and Aldersgate are both well-equipped, fully accredited homes with a village-like community. With a choice of single or double rooms, residents can enjoy private gardens as well as secure grounds for people living with dementia.

Specialist Dementia Care Program

This program is for people with severe symptoms of dementia. From secure facilities at Aldersgate, specially trained staff support residents as their symptoms stabilise, with the aim to eventually transition into a mainstream aged care home.
Ian, son of Aldersgate resident

"From day one, the care at Aldersgate has been great... for my brother and I, that’s number one. They look after mum and the staff are first-class."

More than 60 years’ experience in South Australia

We have a rich history of providing aged care services in South Australia. Our priority is to support your decisions and help find the quality aged care support you need and want.

Understanding fees + charges

All aged care homes set their own room fees – based on factors like location and the room’s size or features – within limits decided by the Commonwealth Government.

The amount you need to pay and the Government support you can receive is determined after Services Australia assesses your assets and income.

  • The basic daily fee is a standard charge that everyone pays for essential day-to-day services including meals, cleaning, facilities management and laundry. The current maximum is $65.55 per day, which is 85% of the single person rate of the age pension.

  • The means-tested care fee is an additional daily payment for personal and clinical care services, like help with bathing, dressing, grooming, going to the toilet, specialised nursing, medication management or catheter care. This fee is worked out through a means assessment of your income and assets and changes in line with inflation.
